Corrections and right of reply

If I have written something about you that you believe is wrong or unfair, you can reply to it, and I will publish your reply. If I have got a fact wrong, I will correct it and say that I have.

Right of reply

If you are named or clearly identified in something here, you are entitled to respond. Email me at blog@jasonboyd.scot with:

Replies are not published automatically. Yours goes through the same checks as anything else I publish, which means I check it for anything legally actionable before it goes up, exactly as I do with my own writing. I will not edit your argument to weaken it. If I am not going to publish something, I will tell you why.

Corrections

For a factual error, email blog@jasonboyd.scot and point me at the specific claim. If you can link a source, that speeds things up considerably.

Where I correct something substantive, the piece carries a dated note saying what changed. I do not quietly edit a claim out and leave the rest looking untouched.

Complaints

If you think a piece breaches something more serious than accuracy, say so in the same email and tell me what outcome you are looking for. This is a one-person site with no editor and no complaints department, so you are writing to the person who wrote the piece. I will still take it seriously.

What I will not do

I will not remove a piece because someone powerful would prefer it gone, and I will not take phone calls about any of the above. Everything here happens in writing.
